As participants of UofF's "ONE For Life" pre-marital course, couples will have an incredible opportunity for mentorship during the first year of marriage. We have designed a mentorship reunion program that will provide one-on-one time with "ONE For Life" leaders consistently over the course of the year following a couple's graduation from the "ONE For Life" course. Attendance is not mandatory.

These reunions offer connection between couples and "ONE For Life" mentors (the mentors will be UofF Leadership). Marriage preparation is important, but so is having accessibility to a mentor couple that has been through the issues that newlyweds face.

The mentorship reunions will be a monthly, one-evening or day event where OFL graduates from around the area will come together and seek the wisdom of mentors. This will be a time to get straight answers from married couples who have weathered life's challenges together. This will also be a time for newly married couples to meet other couples at a similar place in their lives.  The cost will be minimal.

As mentioned, the reunions will be held monthly, each containing a specific topic.  Lessons will always be held during the same time period and will always offer the same topics for that month. 

Below are the topics that will be discussed at the mentorship reunions:

  1. January - In-laws
  2. February - Roles/responsibilities
  3. March - Sex/Intimacy
  4. April - Finances
  5. May - Building trust
  6. June - Career/ministry/one flesh calling

  7. July - Establishing/maintaining friendships outside of marriage
  8. August - Children/family planning
  9. September - Giving up self
10. October - Setting priorities/time management
11. November - Spiritual growth/finding a home church/prayer life
12. December - Communication/agreement
